This session will follow patient vignettes to highlight the complexity of medical decision making with regards to aortic valve interventions (or non-intervention) over the course of a lifespan. The session will touch on the nuances in the decision making for how we can tailor interventional offerings to specific stages in life. There will be discussions that touch on how decision making today affects downstream options and how quality of life and patient goals with regards to athletics/family planning plays a role in in the decision making. We plan to also demonstrate how a collaborative multidisciplinary approach must be used to successfully treat the individual.
