Autism and Trauma

The Teaching and Education for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Management (TEAM) Video Library offers educational videos focused on autism and developmental disabilities, guiding health care professionals through assessment, long-term management, and other specialized topics so they can support their autistic and developmentally disabled patients through all stages of life. This video series explores the complex relationship between trauma and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Across five videos, providers will review foundational concepts of trauma, strategies for differential and comorbid diagnosis, and best practices in comprehensive evaluation. The series also highlights evidence-based interventions to support accurate identification and effective treatment planning for individuals with ASD who have experienced trauma.
