Biomarker-Driven Treatment of Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer management has seen big changes in the last several years. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have significantly improved outcomes, and their use has recently expanded into the perioperative setting for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Additionally, biomarkers such as circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) are making possible the increasing personalization of treatment a boon to patients but a challenge to clinicians. In this activity, experts discuss the emerging role of ctDNA and the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach to MIBC management.
