Cervical Ectropion

Cervical ectropion is a benign gynecological condition and is regarded as a normal variant that frequently occurs in women of the reproductive age group. It occurs due to increased exposure of the cervical epithelium to estrogen. It is diagnosed on routine pelvic examination or pap screening. This activity reviews the etiology, pathophysiology, evaluation, and treatment of cervical ectropion and highlights the interprofessional team’s role in the care of patients with this condition.
