CPR-AED and First Aid Essentials for HCP Recertification

Cardiac arrest and first aid emergencies represent two of the most time-critical categories of events healthcare professionals may encounter outside of institutional settings. Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival remains approximately 10.5%, with bystander CPR provided in fewer than half of cases and AED use in fewer than 8%. Across a broader range of emergencies including hemorrhage, anaphylaxis, stroke, airway obstruction, and environmental illness, the quality of first aid before EMS arrival directly affects patient outcomes. Despite clinical training, many HCPs have not received integrated, guideline-aligned instruction that addresses both cardiac arrest response and the full spectrum of first aid emergencies as a unified competency. This combined course addresses that gap, delivering current AHA-aligned training across both domains in a single, cohesive educational experience designed to equip HCPs to respond with confidence and clinical precision in any out-of-hospital emergency.
