Liver health in cystic fibrosis (CF) is receiving increasing attention from clinical care providers, researchers, and individuals with CF and their families. There have been advancements in our understanding regarding what factors may contribute to liver dysfunction in CF, new tools to assess liver health, and questions about what therapies may help, or even worsen, liver health. As such, in 2024, updated consensus recommendations on the screening, monitoring, and treatment of hepatobiliary disease in CF were released.
The Hepatobiliary Disease in CF (Part 1 and 2) courses were designed to assemble these developments into an engaging and interactive teaching modality that core CF team members, as well as gastroenterologists and hepatologists less familiar with CF, could use to enhance their knowledge and understanding. To support CF healthcare teams in navigating these developments this topic is divided into two focused courses.
