Current Controversies in High Risk Pancreas Cancer Screening: Pancreas Cysts, Genetics and GLP-1s This Grand Rounds-style Lecture will provide an evidence-based review of current approaches to pancreatic cancer risk assessment and surveillance in high-risk individuals. The presentation will examine family history and genetic indications for pancreatic cancer surveillance, current guidelines and areas of uncertainty in the management of pancreatic cysts, and evolving concepts in pancreatic cancer prevention. Particular attention will be given to emerging evidence surrounding GLP-1 therapies and pancreatic health, as well as unmet needs and areas of ongoing controversy in pancreatic cancer screening. Participants will gain an understanding of current recommendations, recognize areas where evidence remains limited or evolving, and apply risk-based considerations to the evaluation and management of patients at increased risk for pancreatic cancer.
