Left Atrial Enlargement

Left atrial enlargement (LAE) refers to an abnormal increase in the left atrium size, typically resulting from prolonged elevation of left atrial pressure. Although not a disease, LAE is a clinically significant finding, often detected through echocardiography or chest imaging.
