Sleep and Breathing in Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders (NMD)

This webinar is designed to improve the recognition, evaluation, and management of sleep and breathing disorders in children with neuromuscular disorders (NMDs). As understanding of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), nocturnal hypoventilation, and respiratory muscle weakness evolves along with diagnostic tools and noninvasive ventilation strategies clinicians benefit from practical, case-based guidance to support early identification and optimal intervention. This program will help participants translate emerging evidence into real-world clinical decision-making, addressing disease-specific variability, long-term management, and family-centered care. Faculty will examine the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of SDB, nocturnal hypoventilation, and progressive respiratory insufficiency, highlighting their implications for diagnostic evaluation and management.
