Targeting EGFR in NSCLC: Evidence-Based Strategies Across Stages, Sequencing, and Resistance in Veterans Health Administration Practice Settings

This educational activity is designed to address the evolving clinical, operational, and systems-level challenges that clinicians in the VHA and those who treat Veterans face when caring for patients with EGFR-mutated NSCLC. By reinforcing timely biomarker testing, interpretation of new and emerging EGFR-directed evidence, individualized first-line and post-progression treatment selection, and recognition of acquired resistance mechanisms, the program will support clinician readiness to translate current evidence into practical, VA-based care pathways. This program will integrate didactic education, interactive case-based application, and expert-led discussion to address identified practice gaps and support translation of evidence into real-world implementation considerations that are especially relevant when treating Veterans. Ultimately, this education aims to help clinicians deliver timely, biomarker-informed EGFR-mutated NSCLC care that aligns with evolving standards while addressing the practical realities of caring for Veterans across varied practice settings.
