Diagnosis and management of Alzheimer s disease (AD) has evolved dramatically in just the past few years. Once a purely clinical diagnosis, AD is now recognized as a biological entity with a biomarker-assisted diagnostic pathway and treatments that directly target its underlying pathology in the form of anti-amyloid therapies (AAT). Novel blood-based biomarkers (BBMs) are now available to make AD biomarkers more accessible to broader range of clinicians. However, the wide variety of options with differing interpretations and implications can make their optimal integration challenging. For patients who are confirmed to have mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early AD, clinicians must then help patients determine optimal next steps, including selecting and implementing the best choice of AAT for them in a landscape with continuously evolving data and novel formulations. This interactive, self-guided educational initiative will provide clinicians with the option of two practical clinical implementation tools designed to 1. Help navigate BBM test selection, interpretation, and corresponding next steps and 2. Individualize AAT selection and implementation base on patient-specific considerations. Through these expert-guided infographic clinical decision tools along with realistic practice case applications, learners will build skills in BBM use and AAT implementation. These tools are also downloadable to use as a guide in future practice.
