The Osteopathic Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurolymphatic Diseases

Apply screening techniques to identify patients who may have myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) or fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). Examine patients for early physical symptoms and clinical signs associated with ME/CFS and FMS. Identify etiological and maintaining factors that may contribute to the development or persistence of ME/CFS and FMS. Assess the severity of a patient s condition and evaluate factors that may influence prognosis. Demonstrate manual treatment techniques targeting the neurolymphatic system. Explain the proposed pathogenesis of ME/CFS and FMS from a biomechanical perspective. Develop management strategies for patients with ME/CFS and FMS that support patient function and well-being.
