Updates and Controversies in Velopharyngeal Dysfunction: A Case-Based Panel Discussion (2024 AMW)

Velopharyngeal Dysfunction (VPD) is a complex and often debilitating pathology with hypernasality, nasal emission, decreased vocal intensity, and/or facial grimacing as clinical manifestations. Managed by otolaryngologists in collaboration with speech pathologists, it often has significant psychological and social impact on our patients. A case- based panel discussion featuring leading VPD experts will provide updates on the latest surgical techniques and management algorithms, including unusual and challenging cases. It will identify areas of controversies and future research directions.
