Valley Fever Post Fires

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) Acute Communicable Disease Control Program (ACDC) is hosting a training on Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis), with a special focus on the increased risks following wildfires. This continuing medical education (CME) activity offers up-to-date guidance on the diagnosis and management of Valley Fever for primary care providers including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants as well as specialists who may care for patients at elevated risk, such as firefighters and individuals living near recently burned areas.
