A Case-Based Discussion on Managing Adult Patients With C3G or IC-MPGN in the Era of Complement Inhibition

In this case-based discussion, Drs. Kenar Jhaveri and Shikha Wadhwani examine individualized treatment strategies for adults with C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) or primary immune complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN). Using a patient with limited response to factor B inhibition, the faculty review the current standard of care, its limitations, and considerations for switching complement-targeted therapy. The discussion examines pegcetacoplan and clinical evidence presented at ERA, including pharmacokinetic and exposure-response analyses and findings from VALIANT/VALE on proteinuria and eGFR through 52 weeks.
