A CaseWise Webcast – Precision in Practice: Individualizing FcRn Inhibitor Use in Generalized Myasthenia Gravis

Generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease that can profoundly disrupt strength and independence through unpredictable, fluctuating muscle weakness. Recent advances have transformed the treatment landscape, with targeted therapies such as neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) inhibitors and complement inhibitors expanding options beyond traditional standards of care. Because gMG is so rare, however, many clinicians only ever encounter a handful of cases making timely recognition and accurate diagnosis a persistent challenge. As a result, opportunities to establish an accurate diagnosis, identify appropriate treatment candidates, and optimize long-term outcomes are often missed. Even for patients whose disease is considered clinically managed, treatment burden, adverse effects, and ongoing quality-of-life challenges remain significant. Evidence-based education can empower clinicians and multidisciplinary care teams to recognize gMG sooner, confidently navigate evolving treatment strategies, and identify appropriate candidates for novel therapies to enhance the lives of individuals living with gMG. In this CME Outfitters recorded webcast, expert faculty will use real-world cases and perspectives from across the gMG care team to strengthen candidate recognition, evidence-based treatment selection, longitudinal monitoring, and shared decision-making. Education will clarify team roles and support individualized care, addressing symptom fluctuation, safety, administration preferences, treatment burden, and outcomes most meaningful to patients, including minimal symptom expression and preserved daily function.
