Healthcare professionals may encounter emergencies requiring first aid response in out-of-hospital settings where clinical resources are unavailable. Research demonstrates that the quality of first aid provided before EMS arrival is a significant determinant of patient outcomes across a wide range of emergencies including hemorrhagic shock, anaphylaxis, stroke, and environmental illness. Despite their clinical training, HCPs functioning as first aid providers face a distinct scope recalibration: field conditions, the absence of diagnostic tools, and the need to stabilize rather than fully manage require deliberate training. Evidence-based first aid guidelines are updated regularly, and many clinicians have not received structured training in current AHA-aligned first aid practice. This course addresses that gap by delivering comprehensive, scenario-based training across eight emergency domains, from scene assessment and shock through trauma, burns, poisoning, and environmental emergencies, equipping HCPs to respond effectively wherever they encounter patients in need.
