Infectious Diseases Routine Screening for Patients With SUD

Patients with a substance use disorder (SUD), particularly those who inject drugs, may be at increased risk of exposure to infectious diseases. Integrating routine screening for infectious diseases such as HIV and viral hepatitis into care for patients with SUD can help decrease disease spread and improve patient health. In this webinar, Sandra Springer, MD will discuss strategies that are tailored to improve infectious disease prevention, screening and treatment for people who use drugs.
