Series Overview A 1-hour virtual lecture, offering updates in patient care management, review of signs, symptoms, diagnostic tools for medical emergency situations with focus on pre-hospital management. A plethora of lecturers, leaders in their field, will share basic and advanced concepts with review of significant clinical cases that highlight the importance of early recognition, prompt transport to the proper facility and initial management, and how these actions will impact positively in patient’s outcome. Intended Audience MD/DO, RN, Physician Assistants, Students, and Emergency Medical Services Providers -ALL LEVELS- Learning Objectives As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to: Assess early signs of patient deterioration using appearance, breathing, circulation, mental status, and skin findings. Determine appropriate immediate interventions during the first minutes of care, including oxygenation, positioning, glucose assessment, and airway readiness. Apply a simple decision-making framework to rapidly deteriorating patients in the prehospital environment. Identify situations that require early escalation of care, including ALS activation and rapid transport decisions.
